Seasons Change, and So Must I

It’s time.

If you are paying attention, you may have seen me slowly moving recipes over to my site on Substack. There’s a reason for that.

For a long time now, I have had a misty vision of a community I wanted to create, and be a part of, but have been struggling to do that here on WordPress. Part of that struggle is learning and keeping up with the changes on the WordPress platform itself, and not having the bandwidth to keep going back to square one every time the user interface changes, or my theme ages out, or my ideas extend further than the reach of my skills and understanding of the platform.

So, I started a free newsletter over at Substack, on the advice of Dianne Jacob, a writing coach I have followed for a long time. I have found that platform to be a breath of much-needed fresh air, leaving room for me to slowly find the clarity of vision I needed. I am happy with what I am building there, and can see how to keep building, without the complications I have always run into here.

Like I said, it’s free, and I have found Substack a friendly and supportive place to read, write, create and share. I recently renewed my domain here at WordPress, as a way to make a smooth transition at a pace I can work comfortably. But, eventually, this site will be taken down, and all my recipes will be located on Substack.

I am also on Instagram @marti_kennedy, and @lovefrommykitchen1, and on Spoutible, @mamamarti. I am using the musky bird platform very minimally, but you should not follow me there any more.
